Our offices are based in Buckley, North Wales but there is no requirement to attend our offices daily, we only expect managers to attend our offices as/when required. The role will be heavily site based, and lots of your work will involve work outdoors reviewing the job or office work within a site cabin.

Our projects are based around the North West, North Wales, and down to the Midlands. Eg: Preston, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, Anglesey, Stafford. There is never usually a requirement to lodge, all sites are managed with local labour and management. We are looking to appoint a Junior or Assistant Site Manager, who has the required enthusiasm, organisation skills and desire to learn.

The candidates will report directly to our Site or Contracts Managers who they will take instruction from.

Experience in installing and managing a range of roofing systems such as composite, built up fully supported, flat roofing systems and façade systems is desirable but not required, or within general construction site management.

Job Description

  • Attend daily site briefings and meetings and provide updates on site progress. Ensure all operatives are briefed daily via Inndex (the digital software we use for reporting).
  • Oversee and report to the Site or Contracts Manager regarding sub-contractors and labour forces on site and assist in the delivery of workmanship to the highest standard.
  • Ensuring on site labour are making adequate progress – assist with organising and supervising subcontractors and employed cladders on site.
  • Maintain communication with the supply team members to help with the delivery, including following up communicated verbal messages via Inndex.
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed and returned in a timely manner and raising concerns with the Site or Contracts Manager. This includes checking on Inndex that:
  • Tool box talks are carried out weekly
  • MEWP / Plant checks are carried out daily
  • All operatives are briefed onto RAMS
  • RAMS amendments are being created and briefed when required
  • PPE is being worn correctly.
  • Producing daily and weekly progress, safety and quality reports, via Inndex.
  • Ensuring you check all deliveries against the delivery note and then uploaded copies of the signed delivery note to inndex
  • Ensure that the supply chain is working in accordance with their risk assessments and method statements, and also to the sequence of works and installation process.
  • Understand and work towards the project programme and assist in reporting the programme position.
  • Ensuring any issues arising on site such as segregation, walkways, ground conditions are recorded via Inndex, reported to the correct persons and rectified where possible.
  • You must be able to learn a basic understanding of job details, including specification details, installation methods & sequencing methods.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • A valid driver’s license
  • CSCS Card
  • Basic understanding of construction processes, materials, and health and safety regulations.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proactive with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).

Other qualifications, not required, but would be beneficial:

  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • SMSTS / SSSTS / IPAF / NPORS / CPCS / First Aid / FASET / Manual Handling / Work at Height

We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Health & Safety Manager with the enthusiasm, strong organisational skills, and ambition to further develop their expertise in Health & Safety.

The successful candidate will report directly to our Senior Health & Safety Manager.

Job Description

  • To visit sites regularly and ensure the safe running of the sites (including ensuring all site workers are signed onto RAMS, storage of materials and ground conditions are safe etc).
  • Reviewing, preparing & implementing safety procedures, risk assessments, method statements and COSHH assessments on ongoing basis for all ongoing projects, for both Lester Cladding Ltd and Lester Cladding North West Ltd.
  • Site visits to undertake specific health and safety audits for multiple projects and then the preparation of findings in reports, for reporting to management and for the Company’s health and safety records.
  • Carrying out toolbox talks to labourers/subcontractors to highlight any issues that may be found on health and safety audits.
  • Carry out incident investigations complete with findings and remedial actions.
  • Responsible for reviewing the health and safety within our warehouse & transport teams and ensuring all operatives are adhering to health and safety procedures.
  • Responsible along with the office for implementing and keeping up to date with all relevant Health and safety bodies that we are affiliated to.
  • Responsible for monitoring our digital H&S software Inndex, including monitoring plant inspections, lifting equipment and Loler’s.
  • All other general roles of Health & Safety

Experience:

We require the candidates to have 5–10 years’ experience working within the construction industry. While direct Health & Safety experience is advantageous, it is not essential; we are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate strong organisational skills, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to develop their expertise in Health & Safety.

Lester Cladding is looking to hire an experienced Draughtsperson to join our team and report into our Senior Design Manager and Operations Director.

Lester Cladding is a family run business which undertakes roofing and cladding projects up to the value of £5m and is based in Buckley, Flintshire. We have 40 years of experience and pride ourselves on being a great place to work.

The types of projects that Lester Cladding specialise in are industrial warehouse builds, but also are involved with other sectors such as commercial, retail and educational. Most of our work is composite or built up (as opposed to façade).

Working Hours & Arrangements:

Monday-Thursday: 8am-5pm with a 45 minute lunch break

Friday: 8am-2pm

Hybrid: This role has a requirement to attend the office at minimum 3 days per week, Monday-Thursday. Ideally, the candidate would work from the office full time, however, this is not mandatory.

The Draughtsperson needs to have:

  • At least 5 Years AutoCAD experience solely in the roofing and cladding industry.
  • Revit experience an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively and build relationships.
  • Experience with building envelope solutions (cladding, building envelope, fabrication) including a range of composite & built up fully supported systems such as Kingspan, TATA Steel, CA, Euro Clad, Euro Bond

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design and detail bespoke cladding, façade and building envelope solutions, including the ability to take projects from cradle to grave:
  • Preparing full set of drawings
  • Issuing them for client approval
  • Producing full manufacture drawings
  • Undertaking initial steelwork checks and mark ups
  • Producing fabrication schedules for the issue to production
  • Cross check specification of products to quotation in line with architects and client requirements, inclusive of colours/finishes, fire properties and thermal balance.
  • Liaise with site staff, supervisors, installation operatives, etc, in respect of any design related issues or required amendments and amend as required.
  • Download and upload information, and documents through portal sites, and update when notified.
  • Issue drawings, gutter and fixing calculations and crane plans.

Progression of the Role & other Potential Responsibilities:

  • Attend Design meetings both on site and via Teams where necessary.
  • Liaise directly with Customers, Architects, etc, as part of the design process.
  • Review project contact drawings and specification, i.e. Architects, Structural Engineers, Steelwork, etc, and raise any necessary design queries.
  • Attend site for measuring and surveys as and when necessary.
  • Liaise with system manufacturers and suppliers, material scheduling and procurement.
